Stephanie Cogan


Steph graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Essex University having worked as Physiotherapy Assistant alongside her degree for adults and children with neurological conditions both in care homes and their home environments.

Before opening The Herts and Essex Therapy Clinic she worked both in private practice and the NHS as a musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapist, gaining a broad experience in sports and musculoskeletal injury treatment and prevention of all age groups as well as orthopaedic and post operative rehabilitation.

Through her years of experience and being keen to maintain health and fitness she has gained a strong interest in Sports Injuries, Spinal Dysfunction, Tendinopathies, Acupuncture, IMS Needling, The Graston Technique and Strength and Condition based rehabilitation.

Since qualifying she has undertaken a variety of post graduate training; including Spinal Manipulation, Kinesio and Traditional Taping, Acupuncture and Sports Massage.

She has been privileged to work and learn alongside talented and renowned physiotherapists within the sporting industry.

Debbie Trigg


Debbie graduated as a chartered physiotherapist from the University of Hertfordshire in 1997.
Before opening the Herts & Essex therapy clinic she worked extensively in an acute hospital setting gaining a wide knowledge base in intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopaedics, outpatients, elderly rehabilitation and on paediatric wards.

Debbie then specialised in paediatrics working for several years in children’s centres, specialist centres for children with physical disabilities in both mainstream and special schools and in the community. Whilst working for the NHS Debbie also worked in private practice for Spire healthcare and independently treating children and adults with neurological conditions and also working with older people in care homes and their home environment.

Through her years of experience she has gained a strong interest in all aspects of Paediatrics but especially in Cerebral palsy and developmental delay. A large proportion of children and adults that she treats are case managed following litigation for problems around the time of birth or acquired brain injury.

Debbie also has a special interest in the treatment of adults with cerebral palsy, upper limb rehabilitation in Stroke patients, elderly rehabilitation and Guillan Barre syndrome.

Since qualifying she has undertaken a variety of post graduate training: including Bobath treatment technique, saeboflex, conductive education, GMFM & Outcome measures, Hydrotherapy etc.

Debbie is a member of the following organisations:
APCP - The Association Of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists
ACPIN - The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with a special interest in Neurology
BABTT - The British Association Of Bobath Trained Therapists OCPPP – Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice
Both physiotherapists are registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP), The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and private health insurers such as BUPA, Simply Health and Aviva.
